Hello! I’m Janine Brownridge and I’m a magazine journalist with a love and passion for writing, editing, traveling to new places and being creative. I am a proud alum of the University of Missouri in Columbia where I received my Bachelor of Journalism degree in Magazine Editing. Throughout my college career, I’ve written for the Columbia Missourian newspaper, Delux Magazine in St. Louis and Hellion Magazine in New York City. Most of my editing experience comes from my time working as a staff editor for the Scene department of Vox Magazine, and also from my position as Managing Editor with Hellion Magazine. Upon graduating from the Missouri School of Journalism in 2014, I have spent a year doing freelance writing and editing in addition to social media management and marketing. I currently reside in my hometown of St. Louis, MO and am attending graduate school at Maryville University of St. Louis to obtain my Master of Arts in Strategic Communication and Leadership. I’m looking forward to expanding my magazine journalism and communications career while updating this blog along the way.
